The safety of our customers and staff is our key concern. Please bear with us as we introduce new steps for a ‘new normal’…
Our response to COVID-19
Firstly, we want to thank all our amazing customers who have been so supportive of us through this challenging time!
Our response June 23, 2020
We are working towards opening the salon on Monday July 6th, 2020. To say we can’t wait is an understatement!
To ensure the health, safety and well-being of both our guests and team members it has been necessary to put a number of restrictions and safety measures in place for our hair and beauty services. This page will be updated as and when new information becomes available from the government.
So, what happens now? A deep clean of the salon is scheduled from June 29th. All our stylists will wear a face mask and face shield for the duration of your visit. We will operate a one customer per stylist salon (one in the front room, one in the back room). We will provide face masks and hand sanitiser for clients. We have always been proud of the cleaning protocols within the salon, but we are going to introduce new steps that involves additional cleaning between client visits (we are Barbicide & hand-washing certified!).Unfortunately due to the changes, we will have to introduce a £5 safety levy while these measures in place.
We respectfully ask that our guests comply with these guidance. To avoid us having to refuse service, we also ask that you do not visit the salon if you have a cough or other cold symptoms.
Until we see you again, please stay safe, happy and follow the guidelines so that we can open the salon as soon as possible! If you want to book an appointment, please contact us via Facebook messenger or call (01206) 548362 and we’ll reply as soon as possible.
Much love, No1 Church Street

Our commitment to you
Our team members will wear appropriate PPE.
One customer per stylist in the salon.
We will provide every guest with a disposable face mask.
Cleaning using Barbicide between each visit.

Dear customers, following on from the latest Government advice, it seems we are still not in a position to open the salon. ☹ We realise how frustrating this must be for you all (and trust us, us too!!). As we enter a phased approach to lowering the restrictions, it seems that we MAY be able to open our doors to you from 4th July (Independence Day! 🥳). Fingers crossed!
In the meantime, we’re looking at all the steps we can put in place to make sure that the ‘new normal’ is as safe as possible for not only YOU (our lovely customers and friends), but for our staff too.
We’ll continue to monitor the updates from the Government and National Hairdresser Federation and update you when we know more. We are getting ready to open AS SOON as we’re allowed! We are stocking up on heavy duty cleaning supplies, face shields and masks. We have always been proud of the cleaning protocols within the salon, but we are going to introduce new steps that involves additional cleaning between client visits (we are in the process of getting our Barbicide & hand-washing certifications).
Just before we can open the doors to you, we will perform a deep clean of the salon and look to introduce new safety measures (along the lines of a ‘one-in/one-out’ appointment system, one customer per stylist, face masks for clients, regular hand-washing before/during/after clients plus more). Until we see you again, please stay safe, happy and follow the guidelines so that we can open the salon as soon as possible! If you need some hair advice in the meantime, please contact us via Facebook messenger and we’ll reply as soon as possible.
Much love, No1 Church Street
Our response March 23, 2020
Dear customers, it is with much sadness that we will not open the salon until further notice… 😕
Your appointment will stay in the diary (so you will receive your email reminder 2 days before) but please don’t come to the salon until we release a statement saying that we’re open again.
We will phone our clients on a week to week basis as well (especially for those not on social media).
In the meantime, stay safe and look after yourself.
All our love, No1 Church Street ❤️❤️❤️
